An agreement to construct and lease a cutting-edge manufacturing facility at the GMR Industrial Park in Hyderabad has been reached between Schneider Electric, a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, and GMR Hyderabad Aviation SEZ Ltd (GHASL), a subsidiary of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL).
According to the terms of the deal, GHASL will lease Schneider Electric 18 acres of land in a non-SEZ region on which the facility will be built.
Two phases will be used to introduce the facility. The production plant, which spans 2 lakh square feet in the initial phase, would be made operational by June 2023.
According to a press release, the facility will also be enlarged by an additional 1.75 lakh square feet in the second phase.
