Wipro GE Healthcare announced that its new Bengaluru greenfield manufacturing site will be run exclusively by women.
The firm will hire 33 women at first, with the number rising to 100 as production grows. The new facility will start producing items in April and will have three shifts available on all days.
The government’s production-linked incentive (PLI) plan is being used to build the Rs 100-crore facility.
It will make CT scanners, cath labs, and ultrasound devices, as well as ventilators and patient monitoring. The plant was constructed in a record-breaking eight months.
