Gadchendur Station to get new Gati Shakti Multi Modal Cargo Terminal

A new Gati Shakti Multi Modal Cargo Terminal (GCT) is being built at Gadchendur Station by the South Central Railway’s Secunderabad Division.

The GCT will be built wholly on railway property, and Dalmia Cement Bharat Ltd. has been given the contract to build it for a sum of Rs. 15.2 crore.

Indian Railways has implemented the Gati-Shakti Multi Modal goods Terminal strategy in an effort to encourage industry investment in the construction of additional terminals for processing rail goods.

With improved facilities that ensure safe and secure transit, these terminals will make it easier to handle freight commodities for rail transportation.

Under this policy, apart from new sidings, the under-construction and existing private sidings/terminals can also migrate to convert as Gati-Shakti Multi Modal Cargo Terminal.
