In keeping with its expansion ambitions, Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited increased the capacity of its Dahej Complex’s Caustic Soda Lye Plant from 785 MTPD to 1310 MTPD. A new 700 MTPD Caustic Evaporation Unit (CEU) was also launched as part of the Caustic Soda expansion to meet the demand for Caustic Soda Lye production (48% wlw). The 700 MTPD Caustic Evaporation Unit is one of the greatest capacity units in India at one place and is supplied by M/s Alfa Laval, Sweden. Successful establishment and commissioning of the unit. The Business Unit President of Alfa Laval, Ms. Karin Forsberg of Sweden, and other executives travelled to Dahej, Gujarat, for the CEU’s handover ceremony.
