Four companies have been chosen for the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for advanced chemistry cell (ACC) battery storage: Reliance New Energy Solar, Ola Electric Mobility, Hyundai Global Motors, and Rajesh Exports.
The selected enterprises would receive incentives under India’s Rs 18,100-crore scheme to enhance domestic battery cell production, according to a statement made by the Ministry of Heavy Industries.
The five companies that failed to get the contract — Mahindra & Mahindra, Larsen & Toubro, Amara Raja Batteries, India Power Corp, and Exide Industries — have been placed on a waiting list.
