A total of 7 offers from four construction firms were received for the construction of the 55.002 km Package-1 and 54.322 km Package-2 of the 230 km Amas – Darbhanga Expressway (NH-119D).
This four-lane access-controlled roadway, built by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), would be Bihar’s first expressway. It will travel north-south to connect the fringes of Aurangabad, Gaya, Patna, and Darbhanga, and will employ portions of the Patna Outer Ring Road and the 9.75-kilometer Kachchi Dargah – Bidupur Bridge projects that are now under development.
Package 1 would run from Amas (NH-02 km 0.0) to Shivrampur (NH-02 km 55.002), while Package 2 will go from Shivrampur to Ramnagar (NH-02 km 109.324) in South Bihar.
