Considering the importance of Foundry sector growth, Foundry Development Foundation has signed an agreement with TIDCO to establish ‘Centre of Excellence’ at a cost of Rs 32 crore in ‘CODISSIA’ Industrial Park Limited premises in Moperipalayam.
Castings are one of the main raw materials used in almost all products manufacturing. OVerall Industry sector growth is determined by the Founder sector performance. This is the reason why the Foundry sector is called the Mother of All Industries.
Industrial city Coimbatore is known for casting manufacturing both nationally and globally.
There are more than 600 foundries established across the district among which 400 foundries belong to MSME category.
