The Goregaon-Mulund Link Road (GMLR), Mumbai’s planned east-west link, eventually had its foundation stone laid at the Goregaon end.
According to sources, Maharashtra Tourism and Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray lay the foundation for improved commuting and connectivity in Mumbai.
The 12.2 km-long GMLR flyover, which would be the city’s fourth connecting length, will be a 5×5 lane project.
The project to establish a direct link from Mulund to Goregoan has been taken on by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
The created route will not only relieve traffic congestion in the two areas, but it will also significantly reduce travel times.
