Fishin, a global leader in the import of Tilapia fish, is investing Rs. 1,000 crore in Telangana to build the world’s largest freshwater aquaculture plant.
The project will be built near the Mid Manair reservoir in the Rajanna Sircilla district.
Manish Kumar, the company’s Chairman and CEO, made the news after meeting with Industries Minister KT Rama Rao in San Jose.
The company, which is the world’s largest importer of Tilapia and the US’s top importer of frozen food, announced a Rs 1,000 crore investment in a fully integrated freshwater fish culture ecosystem that includes hatcheries, feed manufacture, cage culture, processing, and exports.
