The first phase of the restoration of Ayodhya crossroads is planned to be finished by the end of this year, boosting religious tourism in the holy city and, in turn, the district’s economy.
Ashutosh Gangal, the general manager of the Northern Railway (NR), reviewed the station’s under-construction work as well as other railway projects in the Lucknow division.
The railway station is being redeveloped by Indian Railways with the goal of serving one lakh people per day, making it one of the busiest in Uttar Pradesh.
There will be two phases to the station’s construction. A two-story structure, mela shed, circulation area, two foot over bridges, dormitories, sick rooms, escalators, elevators, food court, air-conditioned retiring rooms, LED billboards, and furnished apartments for railway workers will all be included in the first phase.
“GM was satisfied with the pace of the ongoing work at Ayodhya,” said divisional railway manager Lucknow division Suresh Sapra, who accompanied GM during the inspection.
