Engineers India Limited, a Public Sector Unit (PSU), will conduct a techno economic feasibility study (TEFS) for a petrochemical complex in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.
Pradeep Maheshwari, a former vice president of the Vidarbha Economic Development Council, claimed a letter containing his information had been received on May 3.
He added that the VED, an NGO that works for Vidarbha’s economic growth, industrialization, and associated concerns, has been advocating for a petrochemical complex in the Butibori neighbourhood of Nagpur.
“The EIL has been asked by Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation to explore the possibility of setting up such a standalone petrochemical complex. EIL has been asked to conduct a techno economic feasibility study at the concerned site in Vidarbha,” he said.
