Essar Group of India intends to partner with a major company to build a 400 billion rupee ($4.92 billion) petrochemical complex in the state of Odisha in the east.
The oil to petrochemical complex will have a 7.5 million tonnes capacity per year, according to the statement. It did not give the identity of the project’s partner.
Additionally, the group stated that it intended to invest 120 billion rupees in the construction of a 14 million tonne per year export-focused pelletizing plant in Odisha, complete with a 250-kilometer slurry pipeline.
