Emmvee Photovoltaic Power to commission solar module unit near Bengaluru in May

In May 2022, Emmvee Photovoltaic Power will open a sophisticated solar module production facility. The solar module manufacturing plant will be built near Bengaluru at Dobbespet.

The 750 MW capacity on the 22-acre Dobbespet facility, along with the 500 MW unit near the international airport, will bring the total installed capacity to 1,250 MW.

The new facility is part of a Rs 1,000 crore investment approved by the High-Level Clearance Committee in May 2021, which was led by then-Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa.

Over the following two years, the business plans to install two more 900 MW units. This will bring the total capacity built to 3,000 MW. Around 1,000 people will be employed as a result of these initiatives.
