A top executive from Dixon Technologies said, an Indian electronics maker and supplier to companies like Samsung and Xiaomi, anticipates a 12% increase in revenue for the current fiscal year and is thinking about building a plant in Tamil Nadu.
AtulLall, the managing director of Dixon, indicated that the business is “seriously considering” making an investment in Tamil Nadu within the next 12 to 18 months. Currently, it operates factories in three states, but not in Tamil Nadu, a centre for the production of electronics and automobiles and the location of significant production hubs for Apple suppliers like Foxconn and Pegatron.
Lall was speaking to Reuters on the sidelines of an electronics event in the south Indian state.
