Delhi Metro Rail awards contract for Silver Line to Alstom Transport

Alstom Transport India has been given the signalling contract for the Silver Line by Delhi Metro Rail, valued at Rs 219.59 crore. The 16 stations along the 23.622 km Silver Line would link South Delhi’s Tughlakabad and Delhi Aerocity. The 65.1 km Delhi Metro Phase 4 project includes the underground line that is currently under development. The signalling and train control system will need to be designed, produced, supplied, installed, tested, and put into service by the contractor. The Aerocity-Tughalakabad corridor will be outfitted with Alstom’s communications-based train control (CBTC) system, which will operate concurrently with its automatic train supervision (ATS) system and in conjunction with i-ATS (co-developed by DMRC and BEL).
