Delhi airport’s T1 arrival terminal ready for operation

The operator of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), announced that the arrival terminal at T1 has been expanded and is ready for operations.

The work is being done as part of the airport’s development plans, and once completed, the overall terminal capacity and airside capacity of the airport will be increased to 100 million and 140 million passengers, respectively.

The current terminal capacity of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport is 60 million passengers, with a capacity of 140 million passengers on the airside. Currently, the airport has three functioning terminals: T1, T2, and T3.

“DIAL has successfully completed expansion work of the arrival terminal at T1 and is another step towards enhancing the infrastructure and passenger experience at Delhi airport,” GMR Group Deputy Managing I Prabhakara Rao was quoted as saying.
