Delhi Airport’s New T1 Arrival Terminal commences operation

The long-awaited newly built arrival terminal at T1 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) commenced operation from 24 February. DIAL operates three terminals at the Delhi airport: T1, T2, and T3. Passengers on IndiGo’s 6E-6532 flight from Goa were welcomed at the new state-of-the-art arrival facility.

T1’s full arrivals activities have moved from the present facility to the new one once the new arrival hall opens. IndiGo and SpiceJet now offer flights from T1.

Departure operations, however, will continue from the existing terminal, and will eventually be integrated with the new arrivals hall post completion of the expansion works, the statement said.

Developed by DIAL, the new arrival terminal is part of Delhi Airport’s ongoing phase 3A expansion project.
