Dalmia Cement (Bharat) (DCBL), a Dalmia Bharat subsidiary, started commercial production at its Murli Plant in Maharashtra’s Chandrapur area.
DCBL has now added 2.9 million tonne (MnT) of cement capacity to its total installed capacity. It now has a total installed cement capacity of 35.9 MnT.
The company paid Rs 410 crore for the facility and has pledged to invest another Rs 929 crore in the revival, modernisation, expansion, and installation of green manufacturing equipment such as waste heat recovery systems, solar power, green fuel systems, and robotic labs for better quality control.
Out of a total of R 1339 crore, around Rs 900 crore has been spent or promised.
