Daikin India said that it has set the foundation stone for its forthcoming third manufacturing plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, which would cost Rs 1,000 crore in the first phase.
According to a business release, this new facility will be ready for commercial production in 2023, propelling Daikin India to become India’s largest maker of air conditioners (ACs).
Daikin intends to build air conditioners and critical components such as compressors at this facility, which has received government permission under the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme.
