Covestro planned this expansion in India to meet demand and to assist the ‘Make in India’ drive. This high-tech facility was only recently turned on.
The facility has gone through various de-bottlenecking efforts in the past, and as of 2017, it could provide roughly half of the domestic demand, with the remaining capacity coming from Thailand’s Map Ta Phut Site.
