The world’s largest single-site, cutting-edge Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) resin facility will begin construction in the latter half of 2023, according to Grasim Industries Ltd and Lubrizol Manufacturing India Pvt Ltd, the company announced in an exchange filing.
The resin-manufacturing facility is being built in Vilayat, Gujarat, and will have a production capacity of roughly 100,000 metric tonnes.
The project implementation plan is being prepared, according to the filing from the flagship firm of the Aditya Birla Group, and any new information will be disclosed shortly.
On October 30, 2020, Grasim and Lubrizol announced the project and sealed a binding agreement for its construction.
The first phase of the plant was planned to commence production last year. However, the coronavirus outbreak prevented the project work from taking off.
