A month wise action plan will be created for 235 road and highway connectivity projects yet to be awarded with specific focus on maximizing award by December 2022 and March 2023.
A review meeting of the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan (NMP) said this is to address the critical infrastructure gap projects.
A Transport Ministry order stated that these recognized tasks unfold over the Ministries of Metal, Fertilizers, Ports, Transport and Waterways, and Defence.
The utmost variety of roads must be constructed for the Defence Ministry with 168 tasks being recognized. Ports, Transport and Waterways Ministry comes subsequent with 61 tasks, Metal has 5, whereas Fertilizer has one undertaking.
The Nationwide Freeway Authority of India (NHAI), Nationwide Highways & Infrastructure Growth Company Restricted (NHIDCL), and Border Roads Organisation (BRO) must implement these tasks. The standing of those roads can even be tracked on a month-to-month foundation.
