At the future Noida International Airport in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, a multi-modal cargo hub (MMCH) will be built by a top airport services provider, Air India SATS.
Sanjay Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of AISATS, and Christoph Schnellmann, Chief Executive Officer of Yamuna International Airport Private Ltd, inked the concession agreement on May 30 to construct a cutting-edge multi-modal cargo hub.
The multi-modal cargo hub, will cover 87 acres and comprise an Integrated Cargo Terminal and an Integrated Warehousing and logistics Zone, a statement from AISATS or Air India SATS Airport Services Private Ltd said.
As per the agreement, AISATS has been entrusted with the responsibility of designing, building, financing and operating the multi-modal cargo hub.
AISATS is a 50:50 joint venture between Air India, and Singaporean SATS Ltd and was formed for undertaking ground and cargo handling operations.
