Cadila Pharmaceuticals inks MoU with Gujarat for Rs. 1,000 crore investment

Ahmedabad-based Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd. inked an MoU with the Gujarati government to spend Rs. 1,000 crore in a number of ongoing initiatives.

The business said in a press release that it would invest a total of Rs. 1000 crore over three years, or until 2025, to build Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) plants in Dahej, Bharuch, and Ankleshwar and form tablets and capsules at the Dholka Dist. Plant.

By 2025, as proposed, these factories will generate employment for 500 people (directly) and 1000 persons (indirectly), respectively.

According to the MOU, the Gujarati government will assist Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in obtaining the required permits, registrations, licences, and clearances from the relevant agencies in accordance with its current laws and regulations.
