Anurag Thakur, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister, said in a Cabinet briefing on Wednesday that the Taranga Hill-Ambaji-Abu Road new rail line has been authorised by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) to increase connectivity and mobility.
This project is expected to cost Rs. 2798.16 crore and be finished in 2026–2027.
The Ministry of Railways will build the new rail line, which will have a total length of 116.65 kilometres. During construction, the project would directly support around 40 lakh man-days of work.
The project would boost connection and transportation, contributing to the region’s overall socioeconomic growth in keeping with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a “New India.”
