Despite the hurdles faced by the pandemic, the Cochin International Airport Ltd (Cial) is on track to open its business jet terminal by June.
The business jet terminal, which is being built at the existing Terminal-2 (T-2), will open three months ahead of schedule, according to Cial sources, and will have five-star amenities for chartered aircraft passengers in both international and domestic sectors.
Cial began converting the T-2, which is no longer in use following the transfer of domestic operations to the new Terminal 1 in 2019, in September in order to develop new revenue streams.
