The Bundelkhand Expressway in Uttar Pradesh is expected to open in the first week of July, with almost 95 percent of the project’s construction done.
The Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority is in charge of the project (UPEIDA).
“The inauguration of Bundelkhand Expressway is likely to be in the first week of July,” Durgesh Upadhya, media advisor to UPEIDA, tweeted .
“The Construction work is in the final stages..more than 95 per cent of work has been completed,” he added.
The 296-kilometre-long expressway was proposed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in April 2017, just months after he took office for the first time. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for constructing the expressway on 29 February 2020.
