Boeing plans new logistics centre in India

SalilGupte, the head of the local unit of Boeing Co said that the company wants to invest around $24 million in India to establish a logistics centre for aviation parts, expanding its presence in the nation amid a sizable order for aircraft.

According to Reuters, the now-Tata Group-owned Air India, a former state-run airline in India, is anticipated to make a significant announcement this week on a deal to purchase over 500 jets from Boeing and Airbus, valued at more than $100 billion at list prices.

Boeing’s portion consists of 220 aircraft, divided among 190 737 MAX narrowbody aircraft, 20 787 widebodies, and 10 777X aircraft.
