Blue Star Ltd, a leading air conditioning and commercial refrigeration business, has invested Rs 130 crore in a new manufacturing facility in Wada, Maharashtra, which would double the company’s deep freezer production capacity, according to a top company executive.
Managing Director B Thiagarajan said the factory, which makes deep freezers and water coolers, is fully equipped with the most modern manufacturing equipment and follows worldwide best practises in its operations.
“Built with a capex of around Rs 130 crore, this facility is constructed on a built-up area of around 19,300 square metres and has the capacity to produce around two lakh deep freezers and one lakh storage water coolers per annum. Trial productions are on. With this new plant, Blue Star will be doubling its production capacity of deep freezers,” he said.
