The vaccine manufacturer Biological E on revealed plans for growth that will cost over Rs 1,800 crore and create jobs for more than 2500 employees across its three plants in Genome Valley.
A press statement from the state government states that the expansion is mainly intended to increase vaccine production along with generic injectables and R&D.
The declaration was made during a meeting between Biological E Mahima Datla, Managing Director, and IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao.
Rama Rao said, “I’m delighted to announce the expansion plans of Biological E in Genome Valley. Hyderabad is already known as the “vaccine Capital of the World” and this expansion further accelerates our strength to serve the world with live saving vaccines.”
