The Bengaluru Nidaghatta segment of the under-construction Bengaluru – Mysore expressway is proceeding well, according to Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari.
The Bengaluru–Mysore expressway is a 10-lane highway with six lanes of NH-275 and two-lane service roads on both sides. There are areas that are both brownfield and greenfield.
This highway, which has a budget of over Rs 8,000 crore, is expected to be finished by the end of the year, cutting travel time between Karnataka’s major towns to less than 90 minutes from the current three hours.
Two packages are being developed for the highway project. The first is a 56-kilometer journey from Bengaluru to Nidaghatta in Maddur taluk, while the second is a 61-kilometer journey from Nidaghatta to Bengaluru.
