In order to collaborate on research and development for the creation of cutting-edge technologies and technical solutions for both defence and non-defense applications, Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL) and the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK Surathkal) have signed a memorandum of understanding.
In line with the government’s Made in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat programmes, the Agreement intends to leverage the complementary strengths and capabilities of BEL and NITK Surathkal while promoting the indigenization of goods and solutions.
A public technical university, NITK Surathkal was earlier known as Karnataka Regional Engineering College. The institute is renowned for its prowess in management, basic sciences, and engineering disciplines research and development.
