Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and Hyperion Global Group, LLC, a US-based infrastructure telecommunications distribution company, have agreed to collaborate on the development, production, and supply of Internet of Things (IoT) devices for the US market.
BEL will manufacture and provide Hyperion with IoT devices worth $73 million in the first year of supply, with the option to negotiate and deliver upgrades worth $365 million over the next five years.
The marriage of IoT with 5G is considered to be the key to unlocking unprecedented levels of performance and speed, according to Hyperion’s next-generation global telecoms infrastructure.
