Barry Callebaut, a Swiss chocolate manufacturer, stated on November 29 that construction had begun in Neemrana for its third factory there, which is scheduled to open in 2024. According to the corporation, this will make India its biggest chocolate-producing market in the Asia Pacific area.
The factory, which is situated in Neemrana’s Ghiloth industrial region and is 120 kilometres southwest of Delhi, has officially broken ground. With this, Barry Callebaut’s investment in India during the previous five years is anticipated to exceed 50 million Swiss Francs.
The brand-new green field facility will have 20,000 square metres of space and cutting-edge assembly lines that can make compound and chocolate in various delivery formats.
