Azure Power commissions 600 MW solar project in Rajasthan

Azure Power has announced the completion of a 600 MW solar power plant in Bikaner.

The power generated by the plant, which is located in Rajasthan, would be sold to SECI at a rate of Rs 2.53 per kWh for a period of 25 years, according to a statement.

It claims that this is India’s largest solar power facility, owned and operated by a single developer at a single location.

“Azure Power announced the successful commissioning of its largest project- 600 MWs Interstate Transmission System (ISTS) connected solar project, allocated by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI),” the statement said.
