Greenstat Hydrogen India, a subsidiary of Greenstat ASA (Norway), and Ayana Renewable Power, which is backed by the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), have struck a contract to create green hydrogen projects in India.
Both companies will collaborate in India to create large-scale green hydrogen solutions with the objective of supplying long-term green hydrogen to industrial and commercial users. Karnataka would be the site of the first pilot project.
This collaboration aids India’s National Hydrogen Mission, which aims to make India a global leader in green hydrogen production and export. According to Shivanand Nimbargi, CEO and MD of Ayana Renewable, “By 2050, India aims to create three-quarters of its hydrogen from renewable energy sources.”
