Avada to create 4 GW of renewable energy capacity

In order to meet its ambitious goal of producing 1 million tonnes of green ammonia annually, the Avaada group is working to create 4 GW of renewable energy capacity. Green hydrogen, a component of green ammonia, will be created by splitting water using renewable energy.

The country’s largest single site solar project, according to Vineet Mittal, chairman of the Avaada Group, may very possibly be the 3GW of solar power that is currently under construction in Rajasthan and will be operational in 2026–2027.

Avaada also intends to get into the manufacture of electrolysers, for which it is in talks with a few foreign companies.

Overall, Avaada would invest $5 billion into the green ammonia business, Mittal said.
