Coal India subsidiary Eastern Coalfields Ltd has awarded Asian Energy Services Limited (“AESL”) and its JV partner a materials handling project worth Rs128 crore including GST for the construction and operation of a coal handling plant at Hura C OCP.
The scope of work comprises complete planning, design, construction, and commissioning of a coal handling plant (3Mtpa), as well as five years of operation and maintenance. AESL enhances its position in the materials handling infrastructure vertical with this contract, which it entered in 2020.
Asian has also started construction on a coal handling facility extension project for HEC Ltd in Gevra, Asia’s largest open cast mine, and is making good progress.
