Arunachal Pradesh’s new Donyi Polo airport, which is scheduled to be inaugurated by Prime Minister NarendraModi later this month will have a singular architectural masterpiece that serves as a model for a well-designed, long-lasting, and environmentally friendly building.
The largest public structure made completely of naturally occurring materials in India is the enormous airport gate, which is constructed entirely out of bamboo and cane.
The gate was created by the state-born, youthful architect ArotyPanyang and is made to last a lifetime.
Its 2,500 square foot footprint and dimensions of 23 feet high by 82 feet wide permit unrestricted transit of all kinds of vehicles, including enormous freight trucks.
