Officials have announced that Apollo Hospitals would open a medical centre in the Jammu district. Apollo Hospitals is the first hospital group to propose a similar effort after Article 370 was repealed over three years ago.
They pointed out that the administration has already set aside 100 kanals (12.5 acres) at Jammu’s Miran Sahib for the establishment of a Medicity, which will encourage investment by the country’s leading health-care companies.
The Administrative Council has previously approved the transfer of 750 kanals of land to the Industries and Commerce Department for the projected Medical City’s construction.
