Lucknow-based construction company APCO Infratech won the contract to build the 30-kilometer access-controlled road that would link the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway with the new international airport being built in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh.
The route would connect the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway in the National Capital Region and the DND flyway in Noida to the airport.
On July 29, the National Highways Authority of India began accepting proposals for the project. Through the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM), it issued a request for proposals in January of this year with an estimated cost of Rs. 1533.34 crore.
The APCO Infratech offer of Rs 1,660.50 crore was the lowest of the 12 bids made for the building of the six-lane spur.
