Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation plans to establish a mega industrial park project in Kopparthy village and other nearby villages in YSR Kadapa District, Andhra Pradesh. The project involves constructing a build-up area of 403.71 hectares with an estimated cost of Rs. 4245.5 million. Construction is scheduled to begin in August 2023 and end by August 2026. As of March 2023, the company has submitted the project proposal with its Terms of Reference to the Ministry of Environment and Forests for clearance. Upon receiving the first stage of clearance, the company will present a detailed project report for final environmental clearance. After obtaining the necessary clearance, work on the project will commence, subject to the state pollution control board’s consent based on regulatory framework rules. The proposed industrial park is expected to provide a significant boost to the local economy by attracting new businesses, creating job opportunities, and boosting the region’s infrastructure development.
