Amplus Solar, a leading solar power solutions provider in India, has announced plans to establish a new solar power plant in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu. The project aims to set up a 200 MWp open-access solar power plant, which will generate clean energy and reduce the carbon footprint of the region. The 200 MWp solar power plant is expected to produce approximately 450 million units of green electricity in the first year of its operation, which will be a significant step towards meeting the country’s renewable energy targets. This will help in reducing the dependency on conventional sources of energy like coal and oil, which are not only limited in availability but also have a negative impact on the environment. As of March 2023, Amplus Solar has announced its association with EverRenew, an NTC group company, to set up the project. This partnership will leverage the expertise of both companies to ensure the successful completion of the project within the stipulated timeline.
