Altigreen constructs Rs 80 croreproduction facility in Malur

Altigreen, a manufacturer of commercial electric vehicles, increased its manufacturing capacity by investing 80 crore in a new production plant in Malur, Karnataka.

Amitabh Saran, the founder and CEO of Altigreen, claims that the 3,000,000 square foot factory is designed to produce 55,000 units annually. “We want to automate the future lines with the changeover to this new production facility for improved productivity,” he told Businessline. The plant would receive an extra $50–100 crore in investment to be upgraded and automated.

Three different three-wheeler cargo EV versions are produced by the company: two with AltigreenneEV High Deck and one with AltigreenneEV Low Deck. Although ARAI tested for a 151-kilometer range, the company estimates that the vehicles can drive 120 kilometres when fully loaded on a single charge.
