Air Liquide to increase its presence in India

In Kosi, Uttar Pradesh, Air Liquide (Paris:AI) would invest roughly 350 crore rupees (40 million euros) in a new Air Separation Unit (ASU) specialised to Industrial Merchant activities.

This plant will be capable of producing 350 tonnes of oxygen per day, with a maximum capacity of 300 tonnes. This ASU, which is expected to begin operations by the end of 2023, will be built, owned, and operated by Air Liquide India.

The new plant will serve Northern India’s small and medium-sized liquid and packaged gas customers.

It will enable Air Liquide to address the rising demand for high-purity medical gases in the automotive, metal fabrication, heat treatment, solar, and electronics industries, as well as local hospitals.
