A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of City Gas Distribution (CGD) networks to supply dependable, affordable, and environmentally friendly natural gas across fifteen districts of Karnataka was signed by the government of Karnataka and AG&P Pratham, a major player in the Indian City Gas Distribution (CGD) industry. The MoU was signed between November 2 and 4, 2022, in Bangalore at the Global Investors Meet. To establish CGD networks in the districts of Kolar, Mysuru, Mandya, Chamrajnagar, Hassan, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu, Bagalkot, Koppal, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Vijayapura, Shivamogga, Uttara Kannada, and Haveri, AG&P Pratham would invest Rs 8,000 crore over the next eight years. More than 55% of the state’s physical area and 42% of its population are located in the area being developed by AG&P.
