Adani Group to invest Rs 23,200 cr for expansion of Ahmedabad, Mangaluru airports

Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL), Adani Enterprises Ltd’s wholly-owned airports business, aims to invest up to Rs 23,200 crore in expanding the capacity of the international airports it operates in Ahmedabad and Mangaluru.

According to a project document, https://adaniairports.com/ (AIAL), a step-down subsidiary of Adani Airport Holdings, has begun the process of obtaining environmental clearance for expanding the capacity of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport to handle 40.33 million passengers per annum (MPPA) and 1 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of cargo for a cost of Rs 18,000 core.

Mangaluru International Airport Ltd (MIAL), also a step-down subsidiary of Adani Airport Holdings, will raise the capacity of Mangaluru International Airport to handle 22.5 million passengers per annum and 0.12 million tonnes per annum of cargo, entailing an investment of Rs 5,200 crore.
