Adani Green Energy inaugurates World’s Largest Hybrid Power Plant

In Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, Adani Green Energy Ltd. (AGEL) has officially opened the 600 MW world’s largest co-located wind-solar hybrid power facility. With SECI, the facility has Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) for 25 years at Rs. 2.69/kwh.

This hybrid power plant, which consists of 600 MW of solar and 150 MW of wind power, was built using cutting-edge technology.

The Solar Plant uses Horizontal Single-Axis Tracker (HSAT) technology and Bifacial PV modules, which are technologically superior, to harness the sun’s energy to the fullest.

The co-located hybrid power plant would not only decrease the intermittent nature of RE power but will also aid the country in making the best use of its transmission infrastructure.
