ABB India opens new factory to increase its gas insulated switchgear

Gas-insulated switchgear | Hitachi ÉnergieWith the intention of doubling its production capacity for gas insulated switchgear (GIS), ABB India opened a new factory in Nashik. The facility will produce primary and secondary GIS and provide services to clients in a variety of sectors, including electricity distribution, smart cities, data centres, transportation (metro, railroads), tunnels, ports, highways, and other infrastructure improvements. The plant will provide the expanding market for power equipment as well as robust and intelligent grids. The 78,000 square foot facility is furnished with cutting-edge manufacturing robotics that can connect people, processes, and assets while also transmitting real-time data to increase productivity.
