ABB India opens its first smart instrumentation factory in Bangalore

ABB Measurement & Analytics recently opened its first smart instrumentation factory in Bangalore, India, to support the region’s ambition of transforming into a global design and manufacturing hub.

The plant is outfitted with cutting-edge manufacturing technologies in accordance with the local government’s “Make in India” programme, which aims to assist the local economy, to fulfil the rising demand for instrumentation devices that enable more effective and sustainable client operations.

The new facility will produce field devices for a number of markets, including power, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, water, and other sectors, including pressure and temperature transmitters, IP convertors, and electromagnetic flow meters.

“We are happy to support the local economy in line with ‘Make in India’ program with our new factory,” informs Manish Dixit, Regional Sales and Service Manager South Asia, ABB Measurement & Analytics.

Dixit adds, “ABB’s smart instrumentation factory will cater to customers with speed and agility, leveraging leading digitalized manufacturing solutions, allowing flexible mass production to the highest standards”.
